Peters & May is a global logistics company specialising in Yacht and Boat Transport, Freight Forwarding, and Courier Services. With offices across Europe, the US, Singapore, and Dubai, they are the go-to experts for complex shipping requirements, serving a broad and diverse client base worldwide. 

Challenge

When Peters & May’s freight-forwarding software, Forward Solutions, was upgraded to a version capable of running across the entire business, rather than just the UK operations, it prompted a review of their technology stack. As part of this review, they switched their financial accounting platform from Sage to NetSuite to support a scalable model that could align with operations globally. 

However, integrating NetSuite with Forward Solutions, an established system used to manage all operational aspects of the business, from sales enquiries to customer billing and cost-of-sales, proved challenging. Without a seamless integration, the team still had to manually transfer data between the two systems, slowing workflows, increasing the risk of errors, and limiting visibility of key operational KPIs. It quickly became clear that a bespoke solution was needed to connect the platforms and create a smooth, end-to-end process.
