NetSuite 2025.2: Smarter Tools, Better Insights, and Smoother Operations
NetSuite’s second big update of 2025 has arrived, rolling out across systems between August and October. The 2025.2 release includes a range of practical updates and new features, including new industry-specific tools, better reporting capabilities, and smarter automation. Find out about the latest updates that are set to make a real difference to your day-to-day operations:
Tony Fidler, SANSA’s CEO, comments on the latest release saying, “The updates in this release will give our clients the tools to not just keep up with change but lead it, helping them work more efficiently, make better decisions, and achieve real results.”
Smarter Tools for Shipping and Inventory Management
The latest NetSuite 2025.2 release is set to make life a whole lot easier for warehouse and fulfilment teams. With new automatic lot and serial number generation in WMS, numbers are now created during receiving or assembly, eliminating manual typing and the need to juggle multiple spreadsheets.
Managing bins is also quicker. If stock is damaged or missing, staff can now block a bin with a single click, instantly removing it from pick lists and alerting the team, saving time and preventing staff from accidentally selecting damaged or missing stock.
A new Pickup Schedule in Ship Central has simplified shipping, allowing you to arrange carrier collections without leaving the app. Plus, with bulk label printing, you can now produce multiple shipping or return labels at once, even across different couriers.
Take Control of Your Supply Chain
NetSuite 2025.2 has introduced a variety of new features to help keep your supply chain on track. For example, new alerts instantly flag failed supply plans, and an upgraded Planning Workbench, equipped with useful filters and rescheduling options, gives planners more control over timelines and resources.
When orders need to be fast-tracked, the new “To Be Expedited” flag makes prioritisation simple. You can also filter out transfer locations with low stock to save time and reduce errors, while custom workflows now allow you to exclude certain orders from planning, without making manual changes.
Kit fulfilment has also been refined. You can now ensure all parts are available before confirming delivery dates, helping to prevent incomplete shipments. In addition, new custom allocation rules and lead time settings make it easier to navigate complex inventory challenges.
Finally, the NetSuite Supply Chain Management mobile app now supports precise date-and-time pickup scheduling, giving teams more control over carrier coordination and improving overall fulfilment efficiency.
Further AI Integration Boosts Efficiency Across Teams
AI continues to reshape how NetSuite helps businesses work faster and smarter, with new AI-powered features in 2025.2 streamlining critical workflows across the platform. Finance teams can now rely on Close Insights to speed up month-end by reviewing close logs, identifying issues, and recommending actions. Compliance 360 uses AI to monitor user activity, summarise findings, and send alerts, helping teams stay audit-ready. Planning teams gain AI-driven multivariate forecasting in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, analysing sales, inventory, and marketing spend for more accurate projections. And in NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, new contextual insights automatically highlight trends and anomalies with clear visuals and summaries.
AI is also improving productivity in HR. Recruiters can now draft job descriptions directly in SuitePeople HR with built-in GenAI tools, while Text Enhance supports instant translations in 22 languages to streamline localisation and global communication.
But perhaps the most forward-looking update is the introduction of the AI Connector Service. Built on the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP), it gives businesses a secure and flexible way to connect their own AI models to NetSuite. This ‘bring-your-own-AI’ approach putting companies in control. Developers can define exactly what AI can see and do, while ensuring governance and role-based access, for example, a finance team could use AI to quickly identify what is slowing month-end close, while a sales manager might request a summary of open opportunities by rep.
Together, these updates highlight NetSuite’s dual approach – providing businesses with practical built-in tools to simplify daily work, combined with an open framework that lets businesses shape their own strategy.
Better Visibility Across Your Business
The latest update makes it easier for businesses to act quickly and confidently. Supply chain teams can now access real-time inventory, orders, and demand data directly in SuiteAnalytics Workbooks. For SaaS companies, new dashboards offer clear insights into recurring revenue, churn, and customer trends, all without switching between reports. Along with AI-powered forecasting and contextual insights, these tools are designed to give teams a clearer view of their business, allowing them to plan smarter and stay competitive.
